BABY INDIE – BORN IN THE WILD

We named our Decaf coffee Baby Indie. Baby Indie is the embodiment of BOS’s mission; rescued orangutans having babies in the wild. Baby Indie's mother, Inung was rescued in the spring of 2000 and released three years later. Our Post-Release Monitoring team discovered Inung with a baby clinging to her body in the winter of 2021. Inung and baby Indie are in good health and appeared to be thriving in the forest. Rehabilitated orangutans are working hard to create the next generation of wild orangutans.

HOW YOUR PURCHASE MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Did you know that BOS is caring for as many as 530 orangutans? Too long spent in captivity means that many of them are unfit for survival in the wild and cannot be released. Our aim is to give freedom to these orangutans under our direct care, by relocating them to safe, forest islands. Your purchase helps us give them freedom in a natural forest environment.
